I only once in my life time experienced sea lights in the North Sea, during a sailing trip. Our skipper awakened us, launched a dinghy, and rowed around. Then he got into the water himself, and swam around. The light followed every movement. - It was the most impessive spectacle of nature I ever witnessed.

So-called due to its long body (but it's not a true eel), the wolf eel is a 4-8 foot fish with gray, spotted skin and strong jaws fitted with many sharp fangs, used to crush their prey, which includes crabs and sea urchins. Despite its somewhat unnerving appearance, it is not usually aggressive toward humans- in fact, it can be curious and interactive with people and quickly become accustomed to having people near it. Once a male and female wolf eel become a pair, they mate for life.
